"Shooting Kabul." The title would have you thinking it's a war story, a story about terrorism and heartbreak. And while it is all of those things, it's also a children's book, a story about starting fresh with a hole in your heart, and in your family. Above all, "Shooting Kabul" is a story about a kid with a camera and a taste for peanut butter.

We are all familiar with the great challenges our nation faces; high unemployment, health care reform, reductions in essential public resources and a long litany of other issues. American Muslims are no different from their neighbors in feeling the effects of the economic downturn and the impact of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Red Cross Trains Taliban in First Aid

The International Committee of the Red Cross is in Afghanistan teaching the Taliban basic first aid and giving them medical equipment. The ICRC's situation report revealed that its workers assisted "over 100 Afghan security personnel, over 70 members of the armed opposition, taxi drivers involved in the transport of wounded people, first-aiders and its own staff" in April.
