Although this perception may be waning, there has always been an historical difference in how American society has viewed Blackamericans, the offspring of slaves, with naturalized citizens from Africa, the literal African-Americans.

Too often, we forget that one of the best ways to expose people to the true message of Islam is by helping them and speaking to their issues. For our socio-political advancement in America, I believe that the broad recapturing of this Islamic principle should be paramount in the American Muslim community.
